Despite the huge range of stalls on offer, I still gravitate towards the same places.

The best donunt in the world is to be had at Bread Ahead - salted honeycomb with a creme caramel filling, thick and gooey and rich.

Follow it up (yes, in this order) with an Applebee's cajun fish and prawn wrap. You'll be standing in line for a while, hence why I recommend getting the donut right.

Other favourites are Le Marche Du Quartier's confit duck sandwich, served up on a mustard-slathered roll and Gourmet Goat's pulled goat sandwich.

There is an enormous selection of cheese and chacuterie vendors. Check out the Bath Soft Cheese Co stall. Their Wyfe of Bath cheese is award-winning and hard to get hold of outside of the market. We can't help but make the odd pilgrimage to Neal's Yard Dairy - not technically part of Borough Market but it happens to be right there.
